People and their profession

Recently went for a corporate party. Well it was not that interesting the way i thought. Thanks to my kind friend who took me along, i stuffed my mouth shamelessly with loads of yummy food and drink. But unfortunately couldn't get hold of anyone whom i could catch up with  some interesting conversation. All looked like robots who were trained to behave in a so called corporate manner. I did interact with few people and thought about people and their profession. I am a........ and you see my job commands..... Well i don't think that is of my interest.... What? You don't know that....which world you are in? and then you feel so much out of place. Is it  people who make their profession or it the profession that make people. Well my answer is, people make their profession... We have control over our profession, don't sink so much into your profession that you have no space for other things in life. Knowledge is best when you interact with people and are ready to accept other people's profession. Question yourself... Am i losing something in life in the name of my profession. To have a successful career you need to make some sense out of your profession and mint some money. Rest is a call to live an awesome life. So whats your take on People and their profession? For me it is just an interesting title for my research.
