STAGE

We all need that platform to build our confidence, we need that stage to perform and call ourselves stars. We all need that mentor who can lead us to this platform and cheer us when we perform with confidence, creating a n identity for ourselves. One such platform is the stage in my parish. It is small but can accomodate many and can be shared by many. This is how it works. When i was a kid, i had many youth who trianed us in dance, singing, public speaking, art and theater. I used this stage to build my confidence and the process went on. I owe a lot to this stage for all my confidence and polishing of my talents. Years, later i trained a good number of children to perform on this very stage and it was  a joy to see them overcome all their weakness and doing their best. It also helped me realize that being on the other side of the stage was not easy, each one of them was important and you were responsible for their confidence and performance. Few years later when i walked into that very hall and saw one of my students teaching dance to a group of children, it really touched my heart and i knew i made a difference somewhere and that contribution  and hard work was worth it. As i always used to thank my seniors and have that attitude of gratitude towards them. I got the same response from this student of mine and she is doing much better than me. I thanked god for this gift of this small wodden stage where 4 generations have performed and gained their self confidence. Next time when you see that special stage where you first believed that you could make big in life, just touch it and thank all those who made a contribution towards this growth.
