Culture of Silence

The first impression of my kinder garden teacher was like this..Sssshh!! Keep quite. Thank God i never learnt this culture, it was worth the bad remarks i got for talking in class and being this noisy girl speaking all that she imagined and thought of. My first impression of my mom was...Sssshh!! go to bed now, be quite. My first impression of the priest in the church was, lets us all now maintain some silence. When i wanted to ask who the hell was God? my catechist said HE is everywhere, my idea of God was a male. My mom was irritated every time i asked a question. All asked me to keep quite. Thanks to the student's movement where i groomed this beautiful idea of breaking the culture of silence. Today i know what is the beauty of expression. It was worth being talkative, while others were maintaining disciple by being silent, i guess they were never given opportunity to express.
