Being a Doctor for a day

There was always this wish to be  a doctor, but when i realized the amount of hard work that goes in it, especially the aptitude needed for it, i marched along with others on a easy way.But destiny fulfilled this wish where i accompanied a doctor in the medical van catering to a rural village. I initially thought that i would just be an observer and interact with patients. But no sooner this thought ran in my mind, i was holding a stethoscope in my hand, all ready to do some checkups (Of course with guidance).

I learnt that no matter how worst the patient feels, you always need to keep up your Colgate smile on and keep talking to your patient. Making the patient feel comfortable and needed, this somewhere brings them hope for life. The set up in the van was so awesome, it felt like being in a cute tiny clinic with all facilities at your service. Villagers were happy to see a new face and had faith in me. Thou i was not a doctor, they shared their health issues with me. Children when bought to the van were either  happy or crying worrying that they would be injected. I took an opportunity to play with them, carry them in my arms, oh god especially where they were yelling and wanting to jump off. It was like handing some hens in the farm...hehe!! It was indeed an awesome day and i felt so nice, simple people and simple life. Health is all in the state of mind....and i feel healthy.
