Spirit House

                                                              

The spirit house caught my attention in Thailand and i am sure it is the first of the attractions  for many tourist. The essence of the spirit house is best know by the locals. It how they respect the spirit and find space for them in their environment.

Here are my reflections: 

I always believed in spirits and i know it travel across to comfort anyone you want to touch. We have good spirits and bad spirits. I am not sure but i think spirit is different from soul. The soul (psyche) and the spirit (pneuma). Whatever may be the understanding that we come to.. i am touched by the devotion to spirits in Thailand. It really helps you reflect on seeking your spirit and connecting to the universe (we also call it God). Simple beliefs, rituals, understanding life and cosmos makes us humans so unique and truly helps us make sense of all that we do. Every time i passed by the spirit houses and ofcourse amused by the structure big, small, wodden, colourful, and other articles inside the house. I felt a positive energy flowing to me and also helped me reflect on my spirit. Helping me connect my spriit to something that is larger than life.
